I forgot I had this old sketch of Ozai saved on my comp.
It was supposed to represent him burning Zuko and what he saw in his eyes.
He saw himself in Zuko, only younger and the part of him that was weak that his own father saw him as too. Instead of seeing Zuko and burning his face, what he saw was himself and the part of him he despised the most; the weakest side of himself.
